Association & Conference Manager
Tara is a Certified Meeting Professional with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and a minor in Event Planning from Rider University. In 2022, she also earned a certificate in Digital Marketing from Association Academy. Her role as Conference Manager involves overseeing all aspects of event management for a large scientific meeting and tradeshow. Her responsibilities range from site selection, contract negotiation, registration, exhibitor and sponsor management, hotel coordination, marketing and promotion, material preparation, and onsite support.
She also serves as Meeting and Association Manager for a major trade association in the securities industry, responsible for their meetings and events, as well as liaising with the board of director’s, committees, members and volunteers.
Tara’s favorite part of working with associations is the direct close involvement with volunteers who have a passion for their industry and organization, as well as contributing in the successful launch of a meeting from beginning to end.
