Heather O’Steen, CAE

President & Owner

Heather O’Steen, CAE has spent over 15 years at PMA and is the President and Owner of the company. Heather’s background includes extensive association management and Executive Director/CEO experience. She works closely with PMA’s Leadership Team on operations, setting service standards, and training of our talented staff in such capacities as association management, board governance, strategic direction, meeting services, administration, member services, program development, and communications/marketing. She has worked with many non-profits and serves as the CEO of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) since 2008.

Heather earned the credential of Certified Association Executive (CAE), designated by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and ASAE’s Certificate in Association Management. She maintains memberships in, and volunteers with, multiple associations for engagement and continuous growth including ASAE, VMAE, AMC Institute, and the Pet Nutrition Alliance.

Heather was named 2022 Executive of the Year by the Veterinary Medical Association Executives (VMAE) which recognizes outstanding contributions to the association executive profession. It is the highest honor VMAE awards to individuals that exemplify the very best in association management, continually bringing credit to the profession and to the entire association community.
