PMA was one of only 24 AMC's in the world to receive dual accreditation by ASAE and AMCI, adhering to the highest association management company standards. The ASAE program was discontinued in 2010.

Nancy Furstenburg, CPA, CAE
,
is the Co-Managing Partner of PMA, as well as the Chief Financial Officer. Nancy's background includes many years of public accounting experience in the area of tax, audit and financial reporting in both the nonprofit and for profit world. Nancy was the developer of the internal system of processes and procedures, as well as the internal control infrastructure, which is the backbone of PMA's Accounting and Finance department today. Nancy and her team work directly with client boards, finance committees, audit committees and volunteer treasurers for any and all of their accounting and finance needs. Nancy has earned the credential of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Association Executive (CAE), designated by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), as well as ASAE’s Certificate in Association Management. She is an active member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).




Heather O'Steen, CAE is the Co-Managing Partner of PMA, as well as the Chief Operating and Development Officer. Heather's background includes extensive association management and Executive Director experience. She leads and oversees operations, setting service standards, and training of our talented staff in such capacities as association management, board governance, strategic direction, meeting services, administration, member services, program development and communications/marketing. She also serves as CEO for the 3,700 member American Association of Feline Practitioners. In addition to the services above, Heather serves as spokesperson for the Association and is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with allied associations, organizations, and industry companies, in addition to spearheading programs and strategic objectives. Heather has been instrumental in the outstanding growth and profitability of clients including the addition of new programs and key industry initiatives. Heather earned the credential of Certified Association Executive (CAE), designated by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and ASAE’s Certificate in Association Management. She maintains memberships in multiple associations for engagement and continuous growth.
